Geneseo’s Jillian Draper named NWGC Rookie of the Week

SYRACUSE, NY – Geneseo freshman Jillian Draper (Mount Sinai, NY/Mount Sinai) has been named the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Rookie of the Week.

The NWGC announced the honor from its office in Syracuse, N.Y., on Wednesday, Sept. 21, for events held Sept. 12-18.

Draper carded a 93 in her inaugural collegiate round as the Knights made their fall debut at the Sage Fall Invitational in Voorheesville, N.Y. on Saturday, Sept. 17.

The first-year player finished as the lowest-scoring female golfer at the co-ed invitational. The honor marks the first for a Geneseo women's golfer since joining the NWGC.
