Suffolk’s Ellie Yarbrough selected NWGC Player of the Week

SYRACUSE, NY – Suffolk junior Ellie Yarbrough (Killingworth, CT) has been selected the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Player of the Week.

The NWGC announced the honor from its office in Syracuse, N.Y., on Wednesday, Oct. 5, for events held Sept. 26 – Oct. 2.

Yarbrough finished third in a pair of 18-hole events at the McGregor Links Country Club in Winton, N.Y., on Oct. 1-2. The Par 72 course covered 5615 yards each day.

On Saturday, Oct. 1, Yarbrough shot an 83 to take third place at the NWGC Fall Classic. On Sunday, Oct. 2, she registered an 86 to finish third again during the NWGC Fall Invitational.

Suffolk place second in the opening Fall Classic and took fourth on Sunday in the Fall Invitational.
