Cortland’s Sarah Wiggins claims 5th rookie honor

SYRACUSE, NY – Cortland freshman Sarah Wiggins (Carson City, NV/Carson) has been named the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Rookie of the Week for the fifth time this year.

The NWGC announced the honor from its office in Syracuse, N.Y., on Thursday, March 23, for events held through March 19.

Wiggins finished eighth during the Red Dragons' dual-match loss vs. Hamilton in Ormond Beach, Fla. on Friday, March 17 after carding a round of 92.

She tied for fourth with a 42 during a nine-hole non-team scoring event against Ithaca on March 16 at the Cleveland Heights Golf Course in Lakeland, Fla.
