Suffolk’s Ellie Yarbrough named NWGC Player of the Week

SYRACUSE, NY – Suffolk junior Ellie Yarbrough (Killingworth, CT) has been selected the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Player of the Week.

The NWGC announced the honor from its office in Syracuse, N.Y., on Wednesday, April 19, for events held April 10-16.

Yarbrough finished as the runner-up in the Martin Division of the Red Dragons' Martin/Wallace Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, April 15-16, at the Cortland Country Club, leading Suffolk to the first-place finish.

She fired a two-day score of 163, posting an 81 on Day One and an 82 on Day 2. She finished second in a 22-player field.
