Suffolk’s Brooke Bugajewski claims NWGC Player of the Week honors
SYRACUSE, NY – After claiming last week's rookie honors, Suffolk freshman Brooke Bugajewski (Bloomfield Hills, MI) has been selected the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Player of the Week.
The NWGC announced the honor from its office in Syracuse, N.Y., on Tuesday, Sept. 26, for events held Sept. 18-24.
Bugajewski became the first player in Suffolk women's golf history to produce a hole in one on Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Keene Country Club where the Rams defeated Keene State in dual action 336-467.
The rookie golfer finished third overall after carding an 18-hole score of 83 – one stroke behind Suffolk senior captains Isabel Smith and Ellie Yarbrough - who shared medalist honors.
The Rams claimed the first five individual spots in the dual meet.
