Suffolk’s Ellie Yarbrough earns NWGC Player of the Week honors

SYRACUSE, NY – Suffolk senior Ellie Yarbrough (Lake Oswego, OR) has been selected the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Player of the Week.

The NWGC announced the honor from its office in Syracuse, N.Y., on Wednesday, Oct. 4, for events held Sept. 25 – Oct. 1.

Yarbrough contributed to both of Suffolk's victories over the weekend. She took third at the NWGC Fall Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 30, after firing an 80 - one stroke behind a pair of first-place finishers.

On Sunday, Oct. 1, Yarbrough captured the NWGC Fall Classic by firing a six-over-par 77. Both events were held at the Par 71, 5,597-yard course at the Tekoa Country Club in Westfield, Mass.

As a team, Yarbrough led Suffolk to a pair of victories.
