Suffolk’s Brooke Bugajewski named NWGC Rookie of the Week

SYRACUSE, NY – Suffolk freshman Brooke Bugajewski (Bloomfield Hills, MI) has been selected the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Rookie of the Week.

The NWGC announced the honor from its office in Syracuse, N.Y., on Wednesday, Oct. 4, for events held Sept. 25 – Oct. 1.

Bugajewski finished eighth at the NWGC Fall Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 30, after recording an 87. On Sunday, Oct. 1, she placed third the NWGC Fall Classic by shooting an 11-over-par 82.

Both events were held at the Par 71, 5,597-yard course at the Tekoa Country Club in Westfield, Mass., with Suffolk claiming first-place honors in each tournament.
