Suffolk’s Krisna Mahendran selected NWGC Rookie of the Week

SYRACUSE, NY – Suffolk freshman Krisna Mahendran (Katy, TX/Seven Lakes) has been selected the first Northeast Women's Golf Conference Rookie of the Week for the 2024-25 season.

The NWGC announced the honor from its office in Syracuse, N.Y., on Wednesday, Sept. 11, for events held Aug. 31 - Sept. 8.

Mahendran shot an 80, good for third among the individuals who completed 18 holes at the Westfield State Invitational at the Shaker Farms Country Club on Saturday, Sept. 7, before the event was rained out.
