Shepherd, Glennon NWGC Elite Academic Award
BLOOMFIELD, Conn. – Keuka junior Kendall Shepherd (Bunker Hill, WV/Musselman) Canton senior Gwen Glennon (Haines Falls NY/Hunter-Tannersville) are the 2025 Northeast Women's Golf Conference Elite Academic Award winners.
The duo received the honors on Sunday, April 27, just prior to teeing off for their second round of the conference championship tournament hosted by Wintonbury Hills Golf Course in Bloomfield, Conn.
The Elite Academic Award is modeled after the NCAA Elite 90 Award that recognizes the student athlete competing at the conference championship site who has earned the highest grade point average among all competitors.
Glennon earned her third straight award as she approaches graduation with a perfect 4.00 GPA while majoring in Homeland Security.
Shepherd accrued her 4.00 while studying as an accounting major
The NWGC also is honoring the Elite Academic Team that consists of the top student-athlete from each participating institution that submitted a nominee.
