Albertus Magnus joins the Northeast Women's Golf Conference

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Northeast Women's Golf Conference has accepted Albertus Magnus as its newest member beginning this fall.

Tom DiCamillo, commissioner of the NWGC, made the announcement on Wednesday, August 14, from the conference office in Syracuse, N.Y.

"Albertus Magnus College and our women's golf program are thrilled to accept an invitation into the Northeast Women's Golf Conference," Falcons Athletic Director Michael Kobylanski said. "Our team enjoyed a tremendous first year in 2024-25 both on the links and in the classroom. We are appreciative for this opportunity to join a wonderful group of institutions and programs from across the region."

The NWGC is an NCAA Division III single-sport women's golf conference featuring teams whose primary conferences do not sponsor the sport.

"Welcoming Albertus Magnus to the NWGC continues the conference's ability to bring together diverse programs from across the Northeast," DiCamillo explained. "The NWGC is unique in that it offers two fall 18-hole events during the regular season and a two-day conference championship in the spring, while creating a pathway for its members to access the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament through the automatic qualifier."

Located in New Haven, Conn., Albertus Magnus brings the total number of NWGC members to 10. The Falcons join a strong league that consists of the following institutions:

  • Canton
  • Cobleskill
  • Cortland
  • Geneseo
  • Manhattanville
  • Mount Saint Mary
  • Nazareth
  • St. John Fisher
  • Utica

The 2026 NWGC Championship is scheduled for April 19-20 at Van Patten Golf Club in Clifton Park, N.Y.
