Cortland’s Gina Milazzo first NWGC Player of the Week honor of 2025-26

SYRACUSE, NY – Cortland sophomore Gina Milazzo (Greenwood, NY) has been selected the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Player of the Week.

The NWGC announced the honor from its office in Syracuse, N.Y., on Tuesday, Sept. 9, for events held Sept. 1-7.

Milazzo shared medalist honors at the 36-golfer St. Lawrence Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 6, and Sunday, Sept. 7. The event was held on the Par 72 Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course.

She carded a two-over par 74 on Saturday and had the best round of the day Sunday with a 77 to finish with a 151, tied with Union's Iyene Essien. Milazzo helped Cortland finish third out of six teams in the final team standings.
