Steffi Trombley named NWGC Rookie of the Week

SYRACUSE, NY – Cortland sophomore Steffi Trombley (Plattsburgh, NY) has been selected the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Rookie of the Week.

The NWGC announced the honor from its office in Syracuse, N.Y., on Tuesday, Sept. 9, for events held Sept. 1-7.

Trombley, in her collegiate debut, placed 13th out of 36 golfers at the St. Lawrence Invitational with a two-day score of 175. She opened with a 90 on Saturday on the Par 72 Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course layout, followed by an 85 on Sunday.

Trombley finished third and helped the Red Dragons place third out of six teams in the final standings.
