Cortland’s Gina Milazzo earns second NWGC Player of the Week honor

SYRACUSE, NY – Cortland sophomore Gina Milazzo (Greenwood Lake, NY/Warwick Valley) has been selected the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Player of the Week.

It marks her second selection of the season.

The NWGC announced the honor from its office in Syracuse, N.Y., on Tuesday, Sept. 23, for events held Sept. 15-21.

Milazzo finished third out of 25 golfers at the Union College Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the Mohawk Golf Club in Schenectady, N.Y.

She opened with an 85 on the Par 73 layout Saturday and improved the next day to an 81 to finish at 166, one stroke ahead of two golfers who tied for fourth.

Milazzo helped Cortland finish third out of five schools in the final team standings.
